Don't Just Say YES, but Start Living According to Your Calling...

This is a message for me, but might also be your message today.

“May you always remember that because much (ministries/gifts/talents/interests/hobbies/resources/wealth) was given to you much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required ( Luke 18:48). You don’t want to wait until you are a mega-church pastor, miracle-working crusader, Mother Theresa-like missionary, Bible College PhD Prof., Owner of an orphanage, famous Christian athlete/coach... May you not live a life pursuing your calling, live your life as if that’s your calling, it actually is. Your life is a calling (1 Thessalonians 2:12; Colossians 2:6). Just like you wish you could have conducted yourself if you were this great Christian this and that, you’re called to live to that expectation today. If you change your conduct tomorrow because you’re a Director or Pastor of this and that, it comes out more like you’re conducting yourself for that position...more like you’re adoring that position... but rather we’re called to adore God and conduct ourselves in the way that He wants us to. May we throw our admirations of our present or future positions and prioritize God’s glory first...May we honour Him first before everything else including our ‘christian positions’. May it all be about Him, may we be His feet, mouth, eye in this crazy mixed up world...May this be our life not only when we approach our crusade day, Sunday preaching day,  our day to go pray for that dead to rise again, may this be our lifestyle...In the darkest places when none can rebuke us...When our closest Christian friends decide to slightly bend the rules or accept that little unnoticed sins should be part of our church, may we stand and say no. Let’s redeem the time because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16) let’s live our calling every time using the most of every opportunity in standing for what we strongly believe in. Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more (1 Thessalonians 4:1)”
